How many activities a single freelance permit may carry, a question its own frequently asked questions raises without answering. Whether a freelance permit holder may take on employees, also raised and unanswered. Warehouse or industrial unit availability, although industrial and logistics licences are sold.

Expo City Dubai, September 2026
What is the cheapest package, and what does it renew at? The Starter package costs 12,520 AED a year with the licence and a shared desk, but no visa quota and no company card, VAT and the 20 AED knowledge and innovation fee included. It renews at 12,520 AED a year.
What does a package with visas cost? Scale up costs 17,570 AED a year with a free allocation of 4 visas (each visa is then paid separately), and renews at 17,100 AED. Standard costs 22,300 AED a year with an allocation of 6 visas and renews at 16,700 AED.
Expo City is lower on the published entry price. It also publishes its renewal, which Meydan does not, so over three years the gap is larger than the entry prices suggest.
Which one issues the licence faster?
Meydan is among the fastest zones on this site, with issuance measured in days. Expo City takes longer. If your deadline is short, that difference matters more than a few thousand dirhams.
Do both include a desk in the price?
Meydan includes a shared desk. Expo City does not publish what workspace comes with its licence, so ask before you compare the two prices as if they covered the same thing.
