FREE ZONE FILE
DHCC, Dubai Healthcare City
What we think
Publishes its licence fees by activity, its visa prices and its closing cost in official documents. The catch is their date: the only price list on the site is the 2019 edition, seven years old.
Publishes its headline prices, but not everythingPackages
- One segment
- Annual validity
- Activity list set by the authority
- Clinical segment
- External health authority approval
- Annual renewal
- File review
- Provisional approval
- Registration with the Registry of Companies
Where each line was read: product page, a commercial commitment on the zone's own site. Official document, a downloadable schedule, regulation or terms. Blog only, an article on the zone's site, editorial and not contractual. Not published, the zone does not say.
Visas
Offices and desks
Year two, and closing down
The two figures nobody advertises. A cheap first year means nothing if year two doubles, and nothing at all if leaving costs a fortune.
Renewal, per year
The activity fee recurs each year, so a standard segment renews at AED 15,000. There is no separate renewal line in the price list, only a late renewal penalty of AED 500 per month after a thirty day grace period.
Closing the company
Licence cancellation and deregistration is priced at AED 1,500, reinstatement at AED 2,000. No liquidation or audit clearance cost is published.
Other fees and penalties
Binding terms
- Commercial licences run one year and must be renewed annually.
- Licensees must prepare and keep audited accounts and produce them on request.
- Minimum share capital is set per segment and activity, with a minimum share par value of AED 1,000.
- A trade name reservation certificate is valid 120 days from issue.
- A renewal notice is generated 60 days before expiry, then a 30 day grace period, then AED 500 per month.
Contradictions on the zone's own site
- The rules make the activity fee annual, yet the official price list has no renewal line, only a late renewal penalty.
- The only price list published is dated 2019, while live service pages state that fees apply without showing any current amount.
What this zone does not publish
- Office, retail, warehouse and land rents.
- Visa quota per office or desk type.
- Trade name reservation fee.
- Any price list more recent than 2019.
- Any referral or agent commission terms.

AED 1,000 back on this zone
This zone pays us an introduction fee, and we hand AED 1,000 of it back to you once your trade licence has actually been issued. You pay the zone exactly what you would pay going direct, we never take a dirham from you, and the cashback is only due if you filled in the Free Zone Radar form first.
Figures quoted from the zone are left in the language the zone published them in, so you can check them word for word. This file is available in English and French. The comparator itself is in Arabic too.
