Every agency sells you year one. Almost none of them talks about year two. So we read all 51 official sites and wrote down what a renewal costs, and, just as usefully, which zones do not say.
28 of the 51 zones give their renewal price, published or confirmed in writing. 17 renew at the same price as year one. The lowest published renewal is RAK ICC, 3,950 AED. The other 23 say nothing: ask before you sign.
Renewal prices, zone by zone
28 of the 51 zones have a renewal price here. Year one is the entry price read on the zone's site, year two in green is what the same licence costs twelve months later.
Ask the free zone for the renewal price of these zones
For the other 23 we have no figure yet. Ask the free zone before you commit to year one: fill in the questionnaire and we get it from the zone for you.
This figure is not published by every free zone. Ask them: fill in the questionnaire once, and we come back to you with the figure of the free zone you pick.
Do all UAE free zones publish their renewal price?
No. On the 51 zones and registries compared on this site, fewer than half publish a renewal figure on their own website. The rest give it on request, usually after you have already paid for the first year. Ask the free zone first, through the questionnaire: it holds the figure.
Is the renewal price the same as the first year price?
Rarely. Some zones renew for less than the entry package because the entry package carries one-off registration fees. Others renew for more, because the first year was a promotion. The only way to know is to read both figures before you commit.
Why do several Dubai zones show exactly the same renewal price?
Because they are run by the same operator. The Dubai media, internet, knowledge, design, studio, production, science and academic districts share one authority and one price list, even though they are marketed as separate free zones.
All prices and terms come from the free zones and may change at any time without prior notice. Free Zone Radar cannot be held responsible for any change, error or omission. Always confirm the final price and terms in writing before you sign or pay.
