Year two, and closing down

The two figures nobody advertises. A cheap first year means nothing if year two doubles, and nothing at all if leaving costs a fortune.

Not published. Every workspace price is labelled Year 1 with an unexplained double asterisk. No year two rate, no uplift rule and no licence renewal fee appear on any official page.

This figure appears only in an undated legacy price list whose other rates are demonstrably obsolete. No current closure or liquidation fee is published. Treat with caution.

Binding terms

Minimum share capital is AED 1 for a free zone company and at least AED 250,000 for a public company.
Companies must keep a valid licence at all times, and the registrar may wind up those that do not.
An annual declaration must be filed with the registrar and at every licence renewal.
All published workspace and government service pricing sits on the accelerator subsite, never on the zone's own site.
The claim that a licence is included in the AED 18,000 flexi package appears only in a blog post, not on the pricing page.

Contradictions on the zone's own site

The zone's own about page says it was established in 2005 by Law No. 16, while the group site says 2003.
The 2023 implementing regulations set minimum capital at AED 1, while the legacy price list still states AED 10,000.
That same legacy list prices a flexi desk at AED 7,500 per year against AED 18,000 on the current page, with no date to separate them.
