Details
Renewal, per year. The licence renewal figure is quoted by the partner each year, never as a published amount. What is fixed around it: the establishment card renews at 2,200 AED, the residence visa at 3,750 AED for two years, and a late renewal costs 1,000 AED once the grace period has run, then 1,000 AED for every further month. Ask for the renewal figure before you commit, not at renewal.
Closing the company. Business licence cancellation 2,000 AED, plus 500 AED for the establishment card, 500 AED for an entry permit, 500 AED for a work permit, and 750 AED for each visa cancelled from inside the country, 1,500 AED from outside. Cancelling late costs 1,000 AED, then 1,000 AED for every further month.

Important to know
Rules that apply
- Minimum share capital 10,000 AED, minimum share value 10 AED, stated in the official licence application forms.
- The establishment card is required before any visa application and must be renewed annually.
- From 30 September 2025, every licence holder must file financial statements at renewal.
- Turnover above 3 AED million or more than 9 employees at any point in the year means audited statements are compulsory.
- The IFZA template is imposed. No other format is accepted.
- No mandatory office for basic licence packages, but a physical office may be required to raise the visa quota.
- Three business activities are included in every package and seven is the ceiling. A commercial and a professional activity can sit on the same licence for 2,000 AED.
- Three individual shareholders are included. More are possible subject to the authority's approval, at 350 AED each.
Points to confirm before you sign
- An IFZA article states there is no paid-up capital requirement, while the official licence application form sets a minimum share capital of 10,000 AED. Subscribed and paid up are two different things, and it is worth having the distinction confirmed.
