FREE ZONE FILE
DUQE Free Zone
In short
One of the rare zones that publishes a complete price ladder rather than a single headline: seven tiers, from a licence with no visa quota to six, each AED 1,750 apart. What it does not publish is what happens in year two, and what the lease included in the price actually gives you.

✓ Verified by Free Zone Radar means the line was read on the zone's own product page or in an official document it publishes, on the date shown at the foot of this page. It covers what the line states, including a size, a visa quota or the fact that the zone publishes no price there. Blog only means an article on the zone's site, editorial and not contractual. Not published means the zone says nothing at all on the subject.
Visas
Offices and desks
Year two, and closing down
The two figures that decide the real cost over time, and that a first-year price cannot tell you on its own.
Renewal, per year
Not published. The pricing page prices the first year only and says nothing about what the same licence costs in year two, which is the single most useful number for anyone comparing zones.
Closing the company
No cancellation or liquidation cost is published.

Binding terms
- Every package includes three business activities. A fourth costs AED 1,000.
- Several activities require an external approval before the licence is issued, for example aerial advertising needs general aviation authority clearance.
- Some professional activities require a relevant bachelor degree, for example environmental consultancy.
- Debt collection activity requires professional insurance.
Points to confirm with the zone
- A DUQE campaign subdomain advertises a package at AED 19,999 with a visa included, a figure that appears nowhere on the published price ladder. The page could not be read because its security certificate fails, so the offer is not treated as published.
What to ask them directly
- The renewal price, the most important missing figure.
- The cost of an actual employment visa, as opposed to the quota slot.
- The type and size of the space covered by the lease included in the price.
- The maximum number of shareholders.
- Whether audited financial statements are compulsory.
- Any incorporation timeline.
- Any freelance permit. DUQE writes about freelance visas but sells no freelance permit.
- Any closure or liquidation cost.

AED 1,000 back on this zone
This zone pays us an introduction fee, and we hand AED 1,000 of it back to you once your trade licence has actually been issued. You pay the zone exactly what you would pay going direct, we never take a dirham from you, and the cashback is only due if you filled in the Free Zone Radar form first.
Figures quoted from the zone are left in the language the zone published them in, so you can check them word for word. This file is available in English and French. The comparator itself is in Arabic too.
