- Originally Dubai Cars and Automotive Zone, DUCAMZ, created in 2000 at Ras Al Khor.
- It sits under DP World Economic Zones and the Ports Customs and Free Zone Corporation. It has never been part of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority, which comprises only Dubai Airport Freezone, Dubai Silicon Oasis and Dubai CommerCity.
- It is still listed in the Ministry of Economy free zone directory, and Dubai Cars and Automotive Zone remains on the federal list of VAT designated zones.
- Its activity has been folded into the Dubai Auto Market, developed by DP World following the July 2024 agreement with Dubai Municipality and launched in November 2025.
- Its own domain does not resolve and no licensing counter is advertised under this name. Status verified in August 2026.
