Gold and Diamond Park, licensed by JAFZA

Emirate DubaiEstablished 2001Type Jewellery park. Free zone licences issued by JAFZA under an agreement with Emaar
Authority Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority for licensing. Emaar Properties as owner of the property

What we think

Not a free zone authority and not on Dubai's official register of free zones, yet the companies here really do hold a free zone licence: since September 2020 JAFZA handles all licensing and registration at the park under an agreement with Emaar Malls, and JAFZA's rules and tariff apply. The free zone benefit is real, but borrowed.

Publishes its headline prices, but not everything

Packages

No package price is published. The park sells no licence package. A company established here is licensed by JAFZA and pays the JAFZA tariff, which starts at AED 5,000 per year.

Where each line was read: product page, a commercial commitment on the zone's own site. Official document, a downloadable schedule, regulation or terms. Blog only, an article on the zone's site, editorial and not contractual. Not published, the zone does not say.

Year two, and closing down

The two figures nobody advertises. A cheap first year means nothing if year two doubles, and nothing at all if leaving costs a fortune.

Renewal, per year

5,000 AED

The JAFZA tariff applies: AED 5,000 per year for a trading licence with one activity group or a service licence, up to AED 15,000 for general trading and logistics.

Closing the company

AED 6,500

The JAFZA tariff applies: AED 5,000 to terminate a free zone establishment or company, plus AED 1,500 for the compulsory newspaper advertisement. A branch pays AED 1,500.
