FREE ZONE FILE
Hamriyah Free Zone
What we think
Publishes its visa quotas, its office sizes, its warehouse fees and one licence price. Not one of its four named office packages carries a figure, and its own rules leave the daily fine amount blank.
Publishes its headline prices, but not everythingPackages

- 1 shareholder
- 1 visa

Where each line was read: product page, a commercial commitment on the zone's own site. Official document, a downloadable schedule, regulation or terms. Blog only, an article on the zone's site, editorial and not contractual. Not published, the zone does not say.
Visas
Offices and desks
Year two, and closing down
The two figures nobody advertises. A cheap first year means nothing if year two doubles, and nothing at all if leaving costs a fortune.
Renewal, per year
AED 3,500 per year for the licence line, but only inside the warehouse packages, alongside an AED 5,000 annual service fee. Office package renewal and second year totals are never published.
Closing the company
Not published. The implementing rules only require a licensed accountant as liquidator and a final account within seven days. No deregistration or liquidation fee appears.
Other fees and penalties
Binding terms
- Facilities can only be leased, never bought by the investor.
- Shares are denominated at AED 1,000 or multiples, and a free zone company may not exceed five shareholders.
- Annual accounts must reach the authority within three months of the year end, signed by an approved auditor.
- Early lease exit requires three months notice for warehouses and six months for industrial land.
Contradictions on the zone's own site
- The FAQ states a basic licence at AED 11,000 while the infrastructure page prices the licence line at AED 3,500 per year, with no reconciliation.
- The FAQ claims a licence can be issued in one hour, yet the published setup path crosses four departments including immigration.
- The implementing rules authorise a daily fine but leave the amount blank, making the penalty unquantifiable.
What this zone does not publish
- The price of every office package.
- Office and land rent per square metre.
- Employment visa cost per person.
- Licence renewal cost for offices.
- Company closure or liquidation fee.
- Name reservation fee and agent commission.

AED 1,000 back on this zone
This zone pays us an introduction fee, and we hand AED 1,000 of it back to you once your trade licence has actually been issued. You pay the zone exactly what you would pay going direct, we never take a dirham from you, and the cashback is only due if you filled in the Free Zone Radar form first.
Figures quoted from the zone are left in the language the zone published them in, so you can check them word for word. This file is available in English and French. The comparator itself is in Arabic too.
