Details
Renewal, per year. 5,000 AED for an industrial, trading or service licence, 15,000 AED for general trading, charged after two years. The first-year packages therefore defer the renewal cost rather than remove it. No late renewal penalty is published. A one year licence renews at the discounted rate it was bought at, even if the published rates change in year two. From year three onwards any rate is subject to approval by the free zone authority of Abu Dhabi.
Closing the company. 2,500 AED, published on the KEZAD tariff page as licence cancellation. An additional charge of 500 AED applies to certain transactions. A liquidation is required to terminate an existing licence. Its cost is still not published.

Rules that apply
- One hundred percent foreign ownership for free zone entities.
- Selling inside Abu Dhabi requires a local distributor, an agent or a dual licence.
- Start-up packages carry no security deposit and no visa deposit.
- Zero corporate tax and no value added tax are advertised for the free zone jurisdiction.
- A limited company takes 1 shareholder at least and 8 at most.
- The company can be formed without the shareholder travelling, but the investor must already have entered the UAE once, or obtain a visit visa, to get the identity number immigration needs for initial approval.
- Each visa quota above the fourth adds 2,100 AED to the one-year package: 5 visas 16,650 AED, 6 visas 18,750 AED.

- The cost-saving page advertises a zero licence fee without stating the 5,000 AED to 15,000 charged from year three.
